Steven strives to create personalized financial plans tailored to his clients’ goals and objectives. He does so by providing the knowledge, expertise and education that clients need to make informed decisions about their financial futures. He believes engaging his clients in a straightforward manner allows them to make important financial choices with a clear head and without undue pressure.

He has worked as a financial advisor since 1994, first at Edward Jones, where he opened an office in Willows, and then at Merrill Lynch. Since joining Raymond James in 2012, Steven has found the right mix of independence and quality investment options to allow him to offer his clients the highest caliber service.

Steven earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from California State University. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and has earned the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.

A lifelong resident of Chico, the hard-working advisor makes his home with his wife, Karen, and their children, Anton and Anya. When he’s not working to help better the lives of his clients, Steven enjoys reading, cycling and spending time with family and friends.



Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, CFP® (with plaque design) and CFP® (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.

To become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional one must pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Exam, have a minimum of three years’ professional experience in financial planning process and must be approved by the CFP Board, which involves an extensive background check – including an ethics, character and criminal check. To maintain certification, CFP® license holders must complete 30 hours of continuing education accepted by the CFP Board every two years.
